SUSAN FRANK, PRESIDENT, susan@sumalandscaping.com:
Susan Frank founded Suma Landscaping in 1977. Susan is a professional landscaper and creative landscape designer. She holds a degree in Ornamental Horticulture as well as a C-27 Landscaping Contractors License and a qualified pest control license with emphasis on Integrated Pest Management. A native of Miami, she now lives in Marin County after residing in the East Bay for many years. Susan is also a Sensei (teacher) in Karate-do, and volunteers at Hospice by the Bay with her beloved standard poodle, Joey.

EUGÈNE SPOOR, VICE PRESIDENT, eugene@sumalandscaping.com:
Eugène Spoor has been in the landscape industry for more than 20 years. Eugène manages Suma Landscaping's day-to-day operations and personally oversees all phases of Suma’s landscape design and landscape construction projects. With his extensive knowledge and attention to detail, Eugène is able to partner with homeowners, architects, engineers, and managers to ensure excellent quality of work and provide invaluable piece of mind on even the most complex jobs. Eugène is originally from The Hague in The Netherlands and holds a Landscaping Contractors License and QAC-B Pesticide License. He is also certified by California Polytechnic State University as an Irrigation Auditor.

ANNA COHEN, ACCOUNT MANAGER, anna@sumalandscaping.com:
Anna Cohen first met Suma Landscaping many years ago as a client when Suma provided landscape construction and maintenance for her home. She subsequently began working with Suma Landscaping in the capacity of Office Manager. She later moved into managing our grounds maintenance division, thus expanding the relationships she had built with our clients to provide actual hands-on care for their garden maintenance. Anna's commitment to her clients and to providing the best service possible makes her a true asset to Suma. Anna is also a Bay-Friendly Qualified Professional.

ANA GOODE, PAYABLES & RECEIVABLES MANAGER, agoode@sumalandscaping.com:
Ana’s relationship with Suma began when we installed landscaping for her family’s business, Ron Goode Toyota. She then became a friend of Suma and later a valued employee. Originally from Costa Rica, Ana now resides in Alameda. Ana's role at Suma is to manage all aspects of A/P and A/R and to support the transfer of financial information between all departments, as well as between Suma and its vendors and clients.

PAM, OFFICE MANAGER & EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT, pam@sumalandscaping.com:
Pam is a recent addition to the Suma team and brings with her several years of executive assistance and office management experience in the consulting and financial services industries. Her strong organizational skills help to keep the office running smoothly for Suma’s staff members so that they can continue to provide excellent service to Suma’s clients.

TJ SWAIN, LANDSCAPING & MAINTENANCE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, tj@sumalandscaping.com:
Suma welcomes TJ as the new Administrative Assistant to the landscape and maintenance departments. She lives in Alameda (her hometown) with her husband and has 2 grown daughters. With over 11 years of administrative experience, excellent organizational skills, and a strong work ethic, she is an asset to the Suma team.

BRANDON FAZIO, MAINTENANCE DIVISION MANAGER, brandon@sumalandscaping.com:
Brandon grew up on the East Coast right outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Developed around his love for the outdoors and working with his hands, he was drawn to a career in the green industry. He studied horticulture at The Pennsylvania State University where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Landscape Contracting, Design and Build. Since finishing school he has developed continued experience working as an Operations Manager and Account Manager for some very rebuttable companies in the industry.  Only being on the West Coast a few years he has been proactive in continuing his education by earning certifications as a Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper, Bay-Friendly Qualified Landscaper and has taken irrigation technician training. With over 17 years experience, his genuine love for the industry and daily mission to follow the golden rule is reflected in the ownership he takes in each landscape he maintains.

TINA PELFINI, LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION DIVISION MANAGER, tina@sumalandscaping.com:
Tina Pelfini is a recent addition to the Suma team, and is excited to start her new career in the landscaping industry after spending several years working for a General Contractor in San Francisco. Her skills in project management make her a great addition to Suma’s landscape construction department.  Tina received her B.S. in Environmental Management from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and completed a number of field-based botany courses, but her love for plants and landscaping started when she was a young child, when she would spend hours in her parents’ yard drawing up plans for their vegetable garden and flower beds. In her free time she enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hiking and camping.
